KEEMA / KEEMA RECIPES


INGREDIENTS:
1.  Mutton - 1/2 kg
2.  Onion - 2
3.  Tomatoes - 3
4.  Green peas - 1 cup
5.  Ginger garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
6.  Spices like cinnamon (IIlavanga pattai), cloves (Krambu), saunf (sombu), elaichi (yellakai) - each little
7.  Green chilly - 1
8.  Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
9.  Chilly powder - 2 teaspoon
10.Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
11.Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
12.pepper powder - 1 teaspoon
13.Yogurt - 2 teaspoon
14.Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
15.Salt to taste
16.Cooking oil - 5-6 tablespoons
17.Ghee - 1 tablespoon
18.Curry leaves

METHOD:
1.  Pressure cook the mutton with some water and turmeric powder for 5 whistles and after removing the lid of cooker grind the mutton in a mixer and keep them aside.

2.  Heat oil and ghee in a pan when they gets hot add the spices, ginger garlic paste, green chilly, onion and fry them till golden brown.


3.  Add the ground meat, turmeric powder, chilly powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, pepper powder, garam masala and some salt to taste.


4.  Now add the ground tomatoes and cup of water. Let them cook till they become thick and add the yogurt and stir them well.


5.  Finally add the cooked green peas and stir them for 10 mins.


Mutton keema is ready now.
