INGREDIENTS:
1. Green gram - 1/2 cup
2. Grated coconut handfull
3. Mustard - 1 pinch
4. Asafoetida / perungayam - 1 pinch
5. Urad dal - 1/2 teaspoon
6. Green chilly - 1 finely chopped
7. Red chilly - 1
8. Curry leaves
9. Cooking oil - 2 tablespoon
10.Coriander seeds - 1 teaspoon
METHOD:
1. Soak green gram for 5-6 hours. Pressure cook with some salt for 1-2 whistles and keep it aside.
2. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, when it splutters, add perungayam, urad dal, red chilly, curry leaves and green chilly.
3. Add the cooked green gram, grated coconut and mix it well and serve hot.
