INGREDIENTS:
1. Karamani /Cow peas, green gram, green peas, brown sundal, mochai - each 1 cup
2. Bengal gram /kadalai paruppu -1 tablespoon
3. Urad dal / ulutham paruppu -1 tablespoon
4. Red chillies - 2
5. Mustard - 1 teaspoon
6. Asafoetida / perungayam - a pinch
7. Curry leaves -few
8. Salt to taste
9. Grated coconut handfull
10.Coriander seeds - 1 teaspoon
METHOD:
1. Soak the peas for 6 hours. Pressure cook with some salt in water.
2. Roast bengal gram, urad dal, coriander seeds and red chillies. Grind it and keep it aside.
3. Heat a tsp of oil, add mustard seeds, when it splutters, add perungayam, ground powder and curry leaves.
4. Then add the cooked karamani, green peas, green gram, brown sundal, mochai and grated coconut cook for a few seconds and serve hot.
